Fairview Township Board of Supervisors heard the concerns of residents and decided that Woodcrest Avenue would remain a two-way street.
At the board’s May 7th meeting, Roadmaster Russ Marhold announced the decision was made based on the pleas and comments of residents attending the April meeting, requesting Woodcrest retain its present two-way status.
“We are honoring the feelings of the residents,” said Marhold. “At this time, nothing will change.”

Rice Hears Proposal From Private Ambulance Co.
The Rice Township Supervisors heard an initial proposal from Century Medical Response, a private ambulance service licensed to transport patients between medical facilities with offices in Wilkes Barre, at their May 8 meeting. The discussion of making the private for profit company the primary ambulance service for Rice was not listed on the agenda.
