Mountaintop Area Little League To Host MLB Pitch, Hit, Run Competition May 9

Mountain Top Area Little League will be hosting a MLB Pitch, Hit, and Run competition along with numerous other leagues nationwide. Friday, May 9th, beginning at 5pm, and ending at 8:30pm, all Little League Players are invited to test their skills.

There are separate competitions for boys and girls. The contest is open to Little League players with ages 7-14 as of July 17th of this year. Please be aware that this may differ from your Little League age.

Players will compete in 3 different categories. Pitching will be done by trying to hit a “Strike Zone” poster, running will be done by running home from 2nd base, and hitting will be done off of a tee. Running, hitting, pitching, and all-around winners from each individual age groups will move onto further competition which could lead to advancement to compete in the National Finals during All-Star Week at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota, home of the Minnesota Twins.”

Last year, our very own Katie Karpinski won the Philadelphia Phillies team competition!

Participants can report at anytime between 5 and 8:30. There are no fees involved.
