First Holy Communion students ha St. Mary’s of Dorrance is a welcoming church. The pastor of St. Mary’s is Reverend Joseph Evanko, and Reverend Gerald Shantillo, Assistant Pastor. The weekend Mass schedule is Saturday at 5:30 p. m. and Sunday at 9 a. m.
First Holy Communion students will have their final practice on Saturday May 17. First Holy Communion is on Sunday, May 18 during 9 a. m. Mass.

The choir will be singing for the First Holy Communion Mass on Sunday, May 18 at 9 a. m. Practice will be Tuesday, May 6 at 6 p. m. in the church.
The Pro-Life Center in Wilkes-Barre will be having their annual Carnation Drive Mother’s Day Weekend of May 10/11. Carnations will be available for a minimal donation of $1. Pre-order bouquets available. Please call the parish for more information.
The next meeting of the Altar & Rosary Society is Monday, May 19 at 7p.m. . in the meeting room. Members are asked to bring donations of kitchen/baking items for the Theme Basket Raffle for our church bazaar. Donations are needed by June 8.

St. Mary’s Community Outreach Team is Wednesday, May 14 at 7 p. m. in the meeting room. The group is raffling off two beautiful hand made afghans to raise money for their projects. The afghans are on display in the back of the Church. Chances are $1 each or 6 for $5 and there will be two separate raffles. The winners will be drawn on Mother’s Day.
