The Riverlands will host a free Family Fishing Education Day for families with children ages 8 to 15 on Saturday, May 31, from 8 a. m. to 1 p. m. at Lake Took-A-While. The program will include presentations on fishing regulations and licenses, equipment, knots, rigging and baiting, casting and boat displays, as well as a family fishing session.
We will award prizes and take photos of fish caught. Lunch will be provided for participants. Children do not need a fishing license for this event but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
