Two Charged With Theft From Dorrance Property

Pennsylvania State Police have charged two men with Theft by Unlawful Taking of Movable Property and Receiving Stolen Property from a Dorrance Township property February 21, 2014.

According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause filed against Eric James Moore, Rodney Aton, 274 St. John’s Rd, Wapwallopen reported that his residence was broken into and various items were stolen: A Snap on Torqometer valued at $359.95, a Snapon Diesel tune up set valued at $300, A Snapon Compression Gauge valued at $213, A Snapon 9 piece Solid Carbide Burr set valued at $295, a Snapon Torque Wrench valued at $289.95, A Snapon Wrench valued at $189.99, A Sbapon Torqometer valeued at 180l, A Snapon Torque Wrench valued at $259.99, A Snapon 8 piece ¾” Drive Socket set valued at $219, A Snapon10-16 Volt Timing Light valued at $186.35, a set of Long Acre race car scales valued at $2,500 and a sausage stuffer valued at $600 for a total of $5,893.23.

The stolen items were located by the Pennsylvania State Police at Edwin’s Buy and Sell, 799 N. Vine St, Hazleton, PA on February 22, 2014. The owner Edwin Leon said he had bought the items from Matthew Robert Esposito 25, for $40.

Esposito was interviewed by the PSP on February 26, where he said that Eric Moore had called him with items that he needed to “get rid of”. He also said that it as the third or fourth time Moore called him to sell items including a woman’s
