Everyone is invited to come and experience the St. Jude Parish International Fest to be held Saturday, May 31 from 4 p. m. until 11 p. m. and Sunday, June 1 from noon until 9 p. m. featuring delicious ethnic foods and entertainment. There will be ethnic food from Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Lebanon, Poland, Great Britain, Cuba, and the United States. There will also be international desserts and beverages including beer and wine.
Entertainment on Saturday, May 31 will feature Better with Beer from 4 p. m. until 11 p. m. Sunday’s entertainment will be The Golden Tones from 4 p. m. until 8 p. m.
A food drive is being instituted as part of this year’s festival. Everyone who attends is encouraged to bring a can of food to the event to benefit those in need in our area.
A new feature this year is that the first row of booths will be dedicated to children. “Kids World Walkabout” will entertain and delight and provide a magical experience ... literally. Damian the Magician will be in the grove on Sunday, June 1 from 2 p. m. until 4 p. m.
There will also be face painting, popcorn, ice cream and more. Barnes and Noble will be there to share international books.
Everyone is also encouraged to purchase or sell raffle tickets for a Dream Vacation. Tickets are $5 each or six for $25. The raffle is an easy way for everyone to support the parish. Ticket stubs and corresponding funds may be dropped off at the Parish Center. The winner will have a choice of one of the following: 7 day trip for 2 to Ireland, 8 day trip for 2 to Italy, 8 day cruise for 2 thru Venice and Greece, create your own Dream Vacation of a $5,000 value, or $5,000 cash. The winner will be drawn on June 1 at 9 p. m.
Thursday, May 29 is the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord. This is a Holy Day of Obligation. Masses will be celebrated at St. Jude’s on Wed., May 28 at 5:45 p. m., and Thurs., May 29 at 7 a. m., 12:10 p. m. and 7 p. m. Masses at St. Mary’s will be Wed., May 28 at 7 p. m. and Thrs., May 29 at 8 a. m.

Parishioners are please asked to note the change in the hours of operation of the Parish Center. The new office hours are: Monday and Wednesday from 9 a. m. until 3:30 pm; Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a. m. until 1 p. m; closed on Friday.

The deadline for registering for Vacation Bible School is Friday, June 6. Jungle Safari -Explore the Nature of God, will be held June 23 through 27 from 9 a. m. until noon. It is open to children ages 3 -grade 5. The cost is $35 per child or $30 per child for three or more children.
Weekday Masses at St. Jude’s are Monday through Friday at 7 a. m. and Wednesday at 12:10 p. m. Weekday Masses at St. Mary’s are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 8 a. m. Saturday Vigil Masses are 4 p. m. at St. Jude’s and 5:30 p. m. at St. Mary’s. Sunday Masses are 7:30 a. m., 9 a. m., 10:30 a. m. and noon at St. Jude’s and 9 a. m. at St. Mary’s.
