Troop 25, family, friends and many community members helped celebrate the Achievement of Eagle Rank by Andy Oross at the Court of Honor on May 19th. The ceremony was held at the White Haven VFW Post 6615 home, the Troop Sponsor.

The award is the culmination of years of work in the Scouting program, completing ranks and Merit Badges while learning skills for living in the outdoors and daily life.

For his Eagle project, Andy erected a flagpole and created a reflective Veterans Garden at the East Side Borough Building, which was dedicated in November 2013. His Father, Eagle Scout John Oross, presented the Rank to his son in front of officials from Local, County and State government, VFW, Elks, Marine Corp League, US Navy, Cub and Boy Scouts, as well as Family and friends.

Andy will graduate from high school this year and is scheduled to enter the US Navy in August for boot camp.

Andy has been a member in both the Cub and Scout program along with four other friends from the start and is the fifth of the friends to have completed the Eagle Trail. All have achieved the Eagle Rank through Pack and Troop 25 in White Haven.

Three of the four friends were present to assist in the Ceremony, Robert Weidow, AJ Mongiello and Mike Szmurlo. Robert Adams is in school in Kansas and was unable to attend.
