Summer Service Times Begin June 15At St. Paul’s Church

The congregation of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Mountain Top encourages you to join them for worship this week.

Sunday Church School begins at 9:30 a. m.

Pastor Michele D. Kaufman leads Sunday worship services at St. Paul’s at 8:30 am, and 11:00 am. The Church office (570-474-6616) is open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Pastor Kaufman is in the office Mondays 10 a. m. –2

Starting June 15, Summer Service

The Annual Chicken Barbeque is scheduled Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 12 to 6 p. m. The cost is $9.00 adults and children $4.50. Call the office at 570 474 616 for tickets.

A Flea Market will also be held June 21, the same day as Chicken Barbecue starting from 8 a. m. to 2 p. m. Contact Marty Kellow at 570 474-5387 if you would like to rent a space for that day. The cost is $15 for 1 table and $20 for 2 tables. Outside spaces are $10 and vendors supply their own tables. Vendors may set up from 5 to 8 p. m. Friday evening.

The Weight Watchers group meets every Wednesday at 6:15 p. m.

AA meetings are held every Wednesday and Fridays at 7 p. m. and Sundays at 7 p. m.

NA meetings are every Thursday at 6 p. m.

Stress & Anxiety Management support group meets every 2nd and last Tuesdays of the month at 6:30

p. m.

St. Paul’s Summer Camp-

Children will learn about the solar system and the garden through art, music, stories and many other activities

There will be two sessions: the first session is July 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23, and 24 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays). The second session will be held July 28, 29, 30 31, and August 4, 5, 6, and 7 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

The time for both sessions will be 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

The cost for the two-week session is $96 which includes the supply fee.

Limited to the first 18 children to enroll. Ten children are needed to start the camp. Ages 3-5 years old (must be fully potty trained).

For the Solar System Camp, children need to have completed kindergarten, first or second grade to enroll in this camp.

The Food Bank is open every Friday from 9:30 a. m. to 12:00 noon.

Bible Study is conducted at Wright Manor at 2 p. m. every Tuesday and all are welcome to join in a relaxed environment with Pastor Michelle Kaufman.

The first Sunday of the month is declared Food Bank Day and we ask our members to remember those less fortunate and bring non-perishable food items in order to help keep up with the demand on the bank.

The “Yarn Spinners,” will continue to meet on the first Wednesday of each month. If any of you are talented in crocheting or knitting, or would like to learn, they cordially invite you to join them. Lessons will be given by Lois. If you can’t make their meetings, please call Lois Burge at 474-5502, and volunteer your talents by making the items at your own pace at home. All would be most appreciative.

Every third Wednesday, at 1 p. m. at the church will be Board Game Day. Please bring your favorite game and a snack to share. Come on out and have some fun. A sign up sheet will be located on the table in the narthex. Next game day scheduled June 18th.

Next meeting of the WELCA is June 11. The group will meet at the Church at 1 p. m. and carpool over to the Mountain Top Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center. Please bring two gifts each person for Bingo!!

Planning Ahead-The 911 Museum in New York City is open. We will be planning a trip to New York to view the 911 site and Museum this coming Fall. Watch for more details!
