T his Sabbath: September 13th is the date for Third Annual Picnic for St. Martin in the Fields at St. Matthews Grove on Nuangola Rd. It is just down from the corner by the Church. Bring a covered dish or dessert to share and your own soft drinks. The Church will provide the hot dogs and hamburgers. There will be games for old and young, lots of good food, and

fun for all! Have you flown a kite recently? To fly a kite in the wind is a great and simple pleasure that you should share with your children. Well, St. Martin in the Fields is going to give you an opportunity to fly with the experts from the Pocono Kite Symphony. Here is your chance to not only enjoy the outdoors but to participate in an activity that you and your children will enjoy. Watching a kite ride the wind will amaze and touch you with wonder as it dances randomly in its

own unpredictable path. St. Martin in the Fields is sponsoring the Second Mountain Top Kite Festival on September 27th. This will be a fantasticevent for “ children” of all ages and the second one to be held in our area. Each child can sign up to build a free kite from a kit and then be helped to learn how to fly it. There will be a kite flying exhibition by the Pocono Kite Symphony and a DJ will keep you entertain ed. Mark you calendar now so as not to miss out on this experience. A bounce house, face painter and a balloon sculptor will be on hand for more fun
