ST. NICHOLAS VISITS ST. JUDE’S STUDENTS-It was the beginning of a wonderful tradition at St. Jude School. The celebration of the Feast of St. Nicholas was a very exciting day for the students. They were permitted to wear Christmas colors for the day, and upon arrival at their classrooms, the students lined the hallways with shoes in anticipation of a special visitor. The celebration began with the student body gathering in the school cafeteria to hear the story of St. Nicholas, presented by Principal Sr. Ellen Fischer, SCC. Everyone then enjoyed a video about his life, followed by a Christmas sing-a-long with Sr. Ellen accompanying on guitar. Suddenly, St. Nicholas walked into the cafeteria, much to the amazement of the students. He spoke to the students briefly and then visited each classroom after the program concluded. When the students returned to their classrooms, they found their shoes had been filled with treats.
