Jennie Gogick, 100, Red Maple Avenue, Mountain Top, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, at the Mountain Top Senior Care Center.
She was born in Nanticoke on Oct. 25, 1915, and was the daughter of the late Walenty and Caroline Koval.
Jennie attended the former Holy Trinity School to the eighth grade, was a member of St. Faustina parish, Nanticoke, and was formerly employed by Leslie Fay as a factory worker.

Jennie was blessed with and enjoyed a great life, and particularly looked forward to spending time with her family by hosting holiday dinners and cookouts at her house. Jennie enjoyed her polka dancing and music and most weekends when you entered her house, you knew that you would be greeted with polkas playing on her stereo. She also took part in daily lunches at the Mountain Top Senior Center, where she developed many wonderful friendships and afterwards spent her afternoons with her friends playing cards as well as their weekly bingo games.
In addition to her parents and her loving husband, Al, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald; grandson, Michael Gogick; brother, Joseph Koval; and sisters, Mary Pietrzyk, Anne Stadts and Wanda Laskowski.
Presently surviving are a son, Al (Sandy) Gogick, Mountain Top; granddaughter, Kristy Gogick, California; great-grandchildren, Tori and Michael Gogick, Plains Township; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held from Grontkowski Funeral Home P. C., Nanticoke. Interment was in St. Faustina Parish Cemetery (Holy Trinity).
