Crestwood’s Maddie Ritsick led the Lady Comets to a 51-38 victory over Dallas in a girls basketball game on January 11.

Dallas led the contest at the half, up by one point to begin the third quarter. But Crestwood had the hot hand in the second half, cruising to a decisive win.

Ritsick tossed in a game-high 25 points. Also putting points on the board for Crestwood were Abby Macko with nine, and Marlee Dillion added five. Emily Shiplett, Julia Makowski and Andrea Shipton each added two points.

Ritsick again led Crestwood in the lady Comets 65-50 win over Berwick.

Ritsick scored 28 points and went

8 for 10 from the charity stripe.

Julie Murphy chipped in with 17 points of her own.

Also scoring for Crestwood were

Dillon, Makowski and Snipas with six points each. Abby Macko chipped in with two points in the win.


The Crestwood boys basketball team cruised to a 52-40 win over host Dallas on January 13.After an even first quarter, Crestwood opened up the game in the second and third quarters to seal the win.

Robbie Hopkins and Josh Malkemes led the Comets in scoring with 17 and 16 points, respectively. Kyle Richards tossed in five points

for Crestwood while Kevin Klusewitz chipped in four points. Also scoring for the Comets were Tim McCue, three points, Mendell Foreman, two, and Lances Blass, two.

Crestwood squeaked past Berwick on January 1 to capture a 46-42 overtime win.

It was a comeback victory for the Comets, led by Hopkins who scored 12 points, followed by Blass. Malkemes tossed in nine for the winners while Foreman added five and Klusewitz chipped in three.

Kyle Richards and Noah Jackson contributed with two points each.
