St. Mary’s Youth Group To Meet January 31

St. Mary’s of Dorrance is a welcoming church. The pastor of St. Mary’s is Reverend Joseph Evanko, and Rev. Jeffrey Tudgay, Reverend Assistant Pastor. The weekend Mass schedule is Saturday at 5:30 p. m. and Sunday at 9 a. m.

Altar Server Classes -Father

Jeff has scheduled New Altar Server Classes on Wednesdays, March 2 and 9, from 6-7 p. m. in the Church. Please call the parish office to sign up or for more information.

Confirmation Classes-Eighth grade has class next week Jan 24 or

25. Seventh grade has class Jan 31 or Feb 1. Seventh grade students received an updated class schedule during their last class. Classes are held in St. Jude School Sundays: 10:10 to 11:20 a. m. or Mondays: 6:30 to 7:40 p. m. Please attend on your scheduled day.

Seventh Grade Retreat-Seventh grade parents should have received an email about the seventh grade retreat. The retreat is either Friday, Feb 5 from 5-9 p. m. or Saturday, Feb 6 from 10 a. m. -2 p. m. Please direct Confirmation questions to: Pam 474-6315 ext 228.

The next Youth Group meeting is scheduled for Sunday, January 31 from 6-8 p. m. in the dining room. More info is included in the insert.

Saint Theresa’s Valentine Luncheon-Members of Saint Theresa’s Guild will have their annual Valentine Luncheon on Sunday, February 7 at 1 p. m. at Sand Springs Country Club in Drums. Cost is $22 per person. Invitations have been sent to members. Please RSVP by January 31 to Molly with your choice of soup or salad. There will be an optional $5 edible or drinkable exchange. Remember your “Secret Pal” gift ($25).

The Knights of Columbus Annual Sweethearts’ Dance will be held on Saturday, February 6 at 6 p. m. in the social hall. Cost is $20 per person. Tickets are available after Mass or from any Brother Knight. The evening includes dinner, beverages, and live music.

There are still new offertory envelopes in the social hall. Please pick them up in the social hall. Help distributing envelopes to family and friends is greatly appreciated.

Wedding Anniversary Celebration 2016-His Excellency, the Most Reverend Joseph C. Bambera, D. D., J. C. L., Bishop of Scranton, and the Office for Parish Life wish to invite couples celebrating their 25th or 50th wedding anniversary in 2016 to a diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass on Sunday, June 5. The event includes a 2:30 p. m. Mass at St. Peter’s Cathedral followed by a reception. Requests for an invitation, with a mailing address, should be made through your parish office by March 7.

“Samson” -There are only a few tickets remaining! Reserve your tickets for “Samson” before it’s too late. The show is at the Sight and Sound Theatre in Lancaster on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Cost is only $90 per person and includes the show, dinner, and transportation. Reviews put the Sight & Sound productions “at or above” a Broadway production.
