Kenneth Lasoski, 75, Mountain Top, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Nuangola, he was the son of the late Chester and Ruth (Gommer) Lasoski.
He was a Wright Township police officer and a member of the Wright Township Fire Company. Kenneth also ran for the local constable office. Most recently he worked as the director of operations for URS and then with the Pat Curly Detective Agency.
He loved to travel and enjoyed camping at Lake Wallenpaupack and sitting in the sun no matter the season. Kenneth will be deeply missed by all who knew him, including his dog, Cheech.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his brother, Donald.
Surviving are his wife, the former Lydia “Pat” Morgan; children, Ruthann Gordon and husband, Bruce, Avoca; Edwin and wife, Nancy, West Pittston; Kenneth and wife, Lisa, Wapwallopen; Lydia Cooper and partner, David Criagle, Mountain Top; Joseph and wife, Roseann, Wilkes-Barre; Charles and wife, Claire, Mountain Top; Patrick “Ricky” and wife, Michelle, Plains Township; and Christopher and wife, Melody, Sugar Notch; a brother, George and wife, Barbara, Missouri; along with 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top.
Interment followed in Albert Cemetery.
