St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Sunday Worship Services are scheduled at 8:30 a. m. and 11 a. m. An Adult Gathering is held at 9:30 a. m. Sunday Church School also meets at 9:30 a. m.
Rockvale and QVC Outlet Bus Trip, Lancaster, PA is planned Saturday, May 7, 2016, leaving St. Paul’s Lutheran Church promptly at 7:30 a. m. Dinner at restaurants in Rockdale (dinner not included). The Luzerne County Chapter of Thrivent Financial is sponsoring a bus trip to see the new production of “Samson” at Sight and Sound in Lancaster on Friday, May 6th. The cost for Thrivent members is $75; non-members are $90. The price includes the cost of ticket, transportation and cost of lunch at Shady Maple. Please contact Pastor for additional information. Please provide us with a $25 deposit to secure your seat.
Egg Hunt-Mark your calendars now and plan to join us on Wednesday, March 16th, beginning at 5:30 as we gather to dye eggs for our annual Easter Egg Hunt held on Palm Sunday during the Sunday School hour. If you would like to donate eggs or candy (to fill the plastic eggs) please bring donations in by Tuesday, March 15th. Please mark the cartons indicating whether the eggs are “Fresh” or “hardboiled.”
Pizza-St. Paul’s Take-n-Bake pizza sale will be held Friday, March 4th and Saturday, March 5th. They are 12”x16” rectangular pizzas. If you wish to pick up your pizza on Friday evening, please indicate this on the order form. There will be a sign-up sheet in the Narthex. We are in need of volunteers Friday evening and Saturday to assemble and sell pizza. Any questions, call Karen (570) 582-5773 or Jay (570) 902-9307. (Cost: Cheese $10 and with toppings $12).
Lenten Soup Sale-During Lent, various members in the congregation will provide soup, designating the proceeds to their favorite cause. Each week during Lent, we will offer 2 different varieties of soup to be picked up each Sunday. There will be a sign up sheet t, along with additional choices for the weeks to follow on the bulletin board. If you would like to provide a soup, contact Pastor Kaufman to schedule a date. Cost is $6.00 each.

Easter Egg Candy Sale-St. Paul’s is offering Leda’s Homemade Easter Eggs again this year. Cost will be $1.25 each. They will be available after both church services as well as by pre-order forms. hoagies! Watch for the sign-up sheet on the narthex bulletin board. All orders must be in by the previous Sunday. The cost of the hoagies is $4. The sign-up sheet is on the narthex bulletin board. All monies earned go to benefit the church. They’re available the 3rd Thursday of each month.
Yarn Spinners will continue to work on baptismal blankets for Pastor Michele. If you need any yarn, please let Lois know. If any of you are talented in crocheting or knitting, or would like to learn, (lessons will be given by Lois Burge, 474-5502).
Movie Nights-Plan on joining us on March 15th as we gather to view the movie “War Room”, beginning at 6:30 p. m. For those who are concerned about driving at night, please let us know and we’ll arrange for transportation. “War Room” is a compelling drama with humor and heart that explores the power that prayer can have every other area of our lives.
Flea Market-The next Flea Market will be held on Saturday, March 5th from 8 a. m. to 2 p. m.
Every third Wednesday, at 1:00 p. m. at the church will be Board Game Day. Please bring your favorite game and a snack to share. Next game day is March 16th.
Our WELCA’s next meeting will be on Wednesday, March 9th at 1:00 p. m. at the church. We will finish working on the snowflakes and hymnal bookmarks. We are looking for new members and new ideas.
First Holy Communion classes are underway. Classes will be held on Sunday, March 6 and again on Sunday, March 20th following the second service. Students will be receiving their 1st Holy Communion on Maundy Thursday, March 24th.

p. m., NA meetings every Thursday at 6 p. m., and a Stress and Anxiety Management Support Group meets every 2nd and last Tuesdays of the month at 6:30 p. m.
