Jeff will continue an Adult Faith Formation series on Sunday, March 6 from 4 p. m. until 5:30 p. m. in the St. Jude School cafeteria and Tuesday, March 8 from 6:30 p. m. until 8 p. m. at St. Mary’s in Dorrance . The last sessions will be March 13 at St. Jude’s and March 15 at St. Mary’s. The topic is “The Church According to Vatican II”. All parishioners are welcome.

In preparation for Easter, women of the parish are invited to a special evening for a journey of renewal and hope. On June 5, the Most Rev. Joseph C. Bambera, D. D., J. C. L., Bishop of Scranton, will celebrate the Wedding Anniversary Mass at 2:30 PM in the Cathedral of Saint Peter, Scranton, for couples celebrating their 25th or 50th year of marriage in 2016. Couples will have the opportunity to renew their marriage vows. A reception will follow in the Diocesan Pastoral Center, where anniversary couples will be able to have their picture taken with the Bishop. Eligible couples should give their names and an April mailing address to the Parish Center (570-474-6315) by March 7.
A VIRTUS training session is scheduled on Monday, March 14 at Misericordia University Insalaco Hall Room 219 from 4 p. m. until 7 p. m. VIRTUS: Protecting God’s Children for Adults Program is a mandatory 3-hour training session for all employees and adult volunteers who work with children in the Diocese of Scranton. This training focuses on ways to make and maintain a safe environment for all children. Volunteers must also complete a background clearance. Anyone who is planning on being a part of the Vacation Bible School team this summer and is 18 years of age and over, must have the following information in to Carrie in order to volunteer: Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal Background Check and (if living outside the state in the past ten years) Fingerprinting, as well as have completed VIRTUS training.
