The Crestwood Comets wrapped up a three days-in-a-row game series with a win over the Danville Ironmen on April 16 in Mountain Top. The Comets advance to 5-2 overall (2-0 conference) and Danville falls to 4-1 overall (2-0 conference).
Senior Ryan Magin led the scoring with 4 goals followed by Justin McCloskey with 3 goals.
The Comets struck first and got off to a quick 4 goal lead and never looked back. Junior Lance Blass and sophmore Matt Tirpak shared faceoff duties and allowed the Comets to gain quick possessions going 15 for 19 from midfield with the help of long stick midfielder Tanner Kahlau.
A solid defensive effort helped keep the Ironmen off the board led by seniors Conner Keenan, Johnny Macri, Seamus Rother and Connor Sheloski.
Crestwood senior Ryan Magin ripped the winning goal in the Comet’s overtime win in Tunkhannock on Friday night, April 15, after a back and forth battle for District 2 boys lacrosse foes. The final score was Crestwood, 12, Tunkhannock 11 in overtime.
For the Comets Lance Lysiak recorded 3 goals, 4 assists; Magin, 2 goals, 1 assist; Zach Anderson, 2 goals, 1 assist; and Tirpak, 2 goals. Kyle Richards, Sam Majdic, and Justin McColoskey each added a goal. Owen Grigas was credited with one assist.
Crestwood goalkeepers Quinn Roberts and Liam Stone each had 6 saves.
Crestwood defeated the Mifflinburg by a score of 14-6 on Thursday evening, April 14 at Crestwood Stadium.
Junior Zach Anderson let the Comets scoring with 5 goals and 1 assist and senior Ryan Magin had 4 goals, 1 assist. Sam Majdic was the assist leader with 3 assists and 3 goals on the night.
Grigas had one save in goal for the Comets.
Key defensive performances were turned in by John Macri, Connor Keenan, Connor Sheloski and Seamus Rother.

Leading the offense for Crestwood were Hannah Ackers with three goals and Taylor Tomalinas with two.
Julia Filchak had six saves for the Lady Comets. Coughlin recorded a 14-8 win over Crestwood.
Hannah Akers and Sam Drumagin each scored three goals to lead the Lady Comets.
