St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Planning Rummage Sale

St. Paul’s is a Family of Believers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, committed to the fulfillment of the Word of God. Worship services at scheduled at 8:30 a. m. and 11:00 a. m. Sunday Church School begins at 9:30 a. m. An Adult Gathering is also scheduled at 9:30 a. m.

Every third Wednesday, at 1:00 p. m. at the church will be Board Game Day. Please bring your favorite game and a snack to share. Come on out and have some fun. A sign up sheet will be located on the table in the narthex. Next game day scheduled April 20th.

The Rummage Sale set up date is Friday, May 6th at 12:00 p. m. The sale will start on Saturday, May 7th at 8:00 a. m. to 12:00 p. m. with bag day 2:00 p. m. to 5:00 p. m. Please DO NOT bring your items until Monday, May 2. Make certain that the items are clean, in working order, and salable. DO NOT BRING computers, exercise equipment, large appliances and large furniture. The women will accept clothing, books, games, puzzles, kitchen gadgets, and small kitchen appliances such as toasters, blenders, waffle grills, pictures, lamps, toys, curtains, drapes, and linens.

The Luzerne County Chapter of Thrivent Financial is sponsoring a bus trip to see the new production of “Samson” at Sight and Sound in Lancaster on Friday May 6th. The cost for Thrivent members is $75; non-members are $90. The price includes the cost of ticket, transportation and cost of lunch at Shady Maple. Please contact Pastor for additional information. Please provide us with a $25 deposit to secure your seat. Cut off was April 10th but call if interested there may be cancellations.

Bible classes continue every Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p. m. The Story continues with a discussion on the 10 Key Events in Jesus Life.

Sign up for delicious hoagies! The cost of the hoagies is $4.00 each. They’re available the 3rd Thursday of each month. All orders must be in by the previous Sunday.

Please remember that the first Sunday of each month has been declared “Food Bank Day” and we ask that members remember those less fortunate by bringing nonperishable food items in order to keep up with the demand for food.

The following weekly meetings are scheduled: Weight Watchers every Wednesday at 6:15 p. m., AA Meetings every Wednesday and Friday at 7 p. m. and Sundays at 7 p. m., NA Meetings every Thursday at 6 p. m., and a Stress and Anxiety Management support group meets every 2nd and last Tuesdays of the month at 6:30
