Mountain Top U15 Lacrosse Team Wins Second Back Mountain Brawl Championship

The Mountain Top U15 lacrosse team continued it’s winning tradition this past Saturday winning it’s second straight Back Mountain Brawl Championship.

The team played Back Mountain, Tunnkannock, Upper Nazareth, Valley Laxers, and Delaware Valley, and Schuylkill Valley.

In the divisional final Mountain Top used fantastic defense and held Delaware Valley to only 2 goals. On the offensive side of the ball they moved the ball well and were able to put 4 goals in the net sending them to the championship game with a 4-2 win.

In the championship, Mountain Top had their work cut out, as they were playing their 6th game on the day against a big, strong, unbeaten Schuylkill Valley team. Mountain Top came out controlling the ball offensively and once again used a methodical offense to put 4 goals in net.

It was the aggressive play of the entire teams defense however, from the goalie to the attack, that was able to keep their opponents in check and come out of the game with a 4-2 championship win for the repeat!

The U15 team continues their successful run over the last 2 seasons, going 45 consecutive games without a loss.
