A Parish Town Hall Meeting for safety, security and traffic procedures during the construction of the new church will be held on May 19 beginning at 6:30 p. m. in the school cafeteria. All parishioners are encouraged to attend.
The St. Jude’s Annual International Fest will be held Saturday, June 4 from 4 p. m. until 11 p. m. and Sunday, June 5 from noon until 9 p. m. All are invited to attend this great celebration of foods from several countries.
Grove clean-up for the International Fest will be Friday, May 20 beginning at 6 p. m. People are needed for light clean up. Please bring work gloves, rakes, leaf blowers, brooms, rags, and cleaning supplies. This is a great project for families, scout troops, or anyone else willing to pitch in.
Donations of theme baskets are being sought for the International Fest. If your family, friends, or business is interested in donating, please contact Mimi Murphy at 570-956-6057.
Raffle tickets for the International Fest may be dropped off in the offertory basket, brought to the Parish Office, or mailed to the Parish Office.
The 27th Annual St. Jude Gold Tournament will be held on Friday, June 24 at Sand Springs Golf Club. Shotgun start at 1 p. m. The tournament fee is $75 for a single junior golfer, $90 per single golfer, or $360 for Captain and Crew and includes a golf cart, green fees, course refreshments, dinner, and prizes. Make checks payable to St. Jude School and return to the school with the registration form by June 14 to reserve your spot. Indicate which school the $25 (per golfer), $10 (junior golfer), tuition credit should be applied -St. Jude School, Holy Family Academy, or Holy Redeemer High School. Vacation Bible School will be held June 20-24. Student registration is now open. Forms are available online or at the Parish Office. Volunteer applications are available on the parish website at www.stjc.org.The theme for this year is “Deep Sea Discovery”.
The following supplies are needed for the VBS -paper towel tubes, foil, clothes pins, duct tape, and sponges. If anyone is willing to donate, please contact Carrie at the Parish Office.
St. Jude School is in need of flags to fly in front of the school. If you’d like to donate a flag in memory of a loved one, please contact the school at 570-474-5803.
St. Jude Parish Office is now located on the Church Road side of the school. The temporary offices will be the first door (D31) and it is labeled Parish Office. Also, during this temporary move, Sunday office hours will be suspended.
Weekday Masses at St. Jude’s are Monday through Friday at 7 a. m. and Wednesday at 12:10 p. m. Weekday Masses at St. Mary’s are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 8 a. m. Saturday Vigil Masses are 4 p. m. at St. Jude’s and 5:30 p. m. at St. Mary’s. Sunday Masses are 7:30 a. m., 9 a. m., 10:30 a. m. and noon at St. Jude’s and 9 a. m. at St. Mary’s.
