include an impact analysis of critical

areas on the subject site, “It’s more

of an in-depth environmental study

to show what if any impacts there

will be on the environment: soil; land

area; surrounding and adjacent land

uses; wetlands; all physical features

of the property both on site and off

site.”

The attorney explained that this

type of planning process –a PRD

–“requires a Preliminary Planning,

prelude to land development

planning.”

In other business, the supervisors

announced that their Local Share

grant application was approved

and the contract has been executed

and returned. The $120,000 will be

put toward the purchase of a 2016

Freightliner dump truck.

Residents were cautioned to be aware that Talen Energy has scheduled a test of all of the emergency siren system for Thursday, August 18th at 11 am. The sirens are installed within a 10-mile radius of the Susquehanna Nuclear Power Plant near Berwick. The sirens will sound continuously for 3 minutes.

The next Dorrance Township meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 12th at 7 pm.
