ST. JUDE STUDENTS CELEBRATE OPENING MASS-The beginning of a new school year is traditionally celebrated with a liturgy in the parish church. As has been the tradition for many years, the eighth grade class of St. Jude School accepted the responsibility of organizing the opening Mass and served in the ministries of readers, gift bearers, cantors, and altar servers. Rev. Jeff Tudgay, Assistant Pastor of St. Jude’s Church, was the main celebrant. Deacon Gene Kovatch, Pastoral Outreach at St. Jude Parish, assisted. Fr. Jeff invited the Holy Spirit to come into the hearts of the students and remind them that Christ is the reason for St. Jude School. He challenged the students to learn more about Jesus and assured them that they would be more like Jesus at the end of the school year.
