Angie Webby Wrhel, Wapwallopen, died Nov. 23, 2016, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center

Born in Beirut, Lebanon, on June 28, 1964, she was the daughter of Tamam Webby and the late Joseph F. Webby, and loving wife to Joseph Wrhel.

Angie came to America at the age of 5, along with her parents and two younger sisters. She was a 1983 graduate of GAR Memorial High School, and a 1986 graduate of LCCC with an associate’s in applied science. She retired from the Social Security Administration in 2007.

Her passions included gardening, baking, arts and crafts, yard sales, shopping at the Christmas Tree Shop and traveling. She traveled to her birthplace of Lebanon twice between 2003 and 2004.

Angie was preceded in death by her father, Joseph F. Webby; uncles, Attorney Peter J. Webby and Chorbishop George J. Webby, and her cousin, Helene Webby-Krapft.

Surviving are her husband of 10 years, Joseph Wrhel and his sons, Joseph II and Matthew; granddaughter, Kelsey; mother, Tamam Webby; sisters, Tina Eichler and Sabah Webby-DeMace and husband, Dominick; brothers, Leo Webby and George and wife, Michelle Webby; nieces, Kayleigh, Sarah, Gianna, Alexa, Taylor, and nephew, Joseph. She was a loving godmother to Shannon Doan, Kayleigh Angele DeMace, and Taylor Marie Eichler; aunt, Angie Webby and her family, of Slocum Township.

Angie’s family would like to thank her kidney donor, Kim Myers-Ayers, her nurse, April, and the staff at Geisinger and Allied Services, for all their care and support over the years.

Funeral was held from Mamary-Durkin Funeral Service, Wilkes-Barre. Services were in St. Anthony/ St. George Maronite Church, Wilkes-Barre. Interment was at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
