CRESTWOOD STUDENT ARTWORK ON EXHIBIT-Four students from Mrs. Brozena’s art class participated in the 1st Steamtown National Historic Site exhibit, “From Coal to Steam”. The mission of Steamtown National Historic Site is to further public understanding of the role that steam railroading played in the development of the United States. The artwork will be on display at Steamtown’s National Historic Site, 350 Cliff Street, Scranton, PA until January 15, 2017. From there these 24” x 24” paintings will be included in The Dream Rocket Project, an ongoing collection of 9,000 artworks. Eventually, all artworks will be assembled into a giant wrap. This wrap will cover a full scale replica of the 376’ Space Launch System (SLS), NASA’s newest mars dream rocket. This will be a public artwork of epic proportions. Thousands of people will have an opportunity to view and enjoy these paintings in the years to come. Student artists from left: Seniors Ashley Lewis, Kyle Sarluca, Neil Simasek and Junior Sean Phelan.
