St. Mary’s of Dorrance is a welcoming church. The pastor of St. Mary’s is Reverend Joseph Evanko, and Rev. Jeffrey Tudgay, Reverend Assistant Pastor. The weekend Mass schedule is Saturday at 5:30 p. m. and Sunday at 9 a. m.
Religious Education Classes for K -6th grade begin at 9:50 a. m. and end at 11 a. m. Students go directly to their classrooms.
Classes for 8th grade students Either Sunday, December 4 or Monday, December 5. Please attend on your scheduled day.
Classes for 7th grade students Either Sunday, December 11 or Monday, December 12. Attend on your scheduled day.
Parents: Confirmation candidates will have homework every week and need to have their Mass attendance cards signed. If you have any questions pleases call Mrs. Urbanski 474-6315 ext 228.
Christmas Eve Family Mass-Students are invited to participate in the Christmas Eve program before 4 p. m. Mass. To sign up please return the sheet received in your Family Envelope or call the parish office.
Hazardous Weather Conditions-In the event that Crestwood closes or delays school due to inclement weather daily Mass will be cancelled. On Sundays, families will receive a phone call if classes are cancelled. Please be advised that safety is always our first priority. If your roads are bad and classes have not been cancelled please keep your children safe and miss class if necessary. You can call your child’s teacher to get the class assignment and homework.

Names of service men and women who are deployed over the holiday season are still being accepted and may be added to the mailing list. In Thanksgiving: A Big Shout Out to Michael Bafunno and Friends! Mick repaired our benches and painted our bazaar stand as part of his Eagle Scout Project.
Children’s Christmas Party-Christmas Party for registered children will be held on Sunday, December 4 at 1 p. m. in the parish social hall.
Angel Tree-Our parish is again participating in the Angel Tree program. Please remember to sign your name on the clip board on the appropriate recipients line. There are two tags for each child. One with a clothing wish and one with a non clothing wish. In addition, we have tags for grocery stores for parish families. Thank you for your generosity.
Church Decorating-Five Christmas Trees will be put up this year: four in the Church and one on the front porch. If you would like to donate a tree or trees in honor of, or in memory of a loved one please call the parish office. We will be decorating the Church on Sunday, December 18 at 11 a. m. For those attending Mass -no need to go home -bagels and muffins will be available in the social hall. All are invited to come and help, especially students in need of service hours. Jobs for all ages and abilities. The more hands the lighter the load!
Window Candles are available “in memory of “ or “in honor of” your loved ones. Please call the office to reserve yours. Suggested donation is $5.
The Annual Wafer Dinner hosted by Saint Theresa’s Guild will be held on Sunday, December 11 at 6 p. m. The Guild will provide hors devours and beverages. Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish for the meal. Please RSVP to the parish office by Sunday, December 4 to ensure we have enough plate settings.

It’s time to order rolls for the holidays. This year Altar & Rosary Society will be using Mountain Top Bakery, John with Simply Delicious Desserts. The rolls will be 12 oz. and cost $6 each. New flavors available.
