Wright Township Police Respond To Domestic Dispute

On Saturday, November 27 at 4:41 p. m., the Wright Township Police responded to a domestic dispute between a husband and wife at 403 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountaintop.

Police arrived on scene and met with the female outside the residence. The female told 911 dispatchers that her husband was intoxicated and drinking all day, they were arguing and he threatened to shoot her and stated, “he is not going to jail, cops are going to have to kill him”. The male was outside the residence at this time.

Officers surrounded the residence and observed the male identified as James Reese through the open front door sitting in a chair. The male was verbally ordered to the front door and taken into custody without incident.

The male was charged with disorderly conduct, harassment and terroristic threats. He was arraigned before Magistrate Dotzel, bail was set at $20,000 straight cash, and lodged in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 7, 2016 at 10 a. m. at Magistrate Swank’s.
