Pastor Lou Aita Begins Pastorate At Emmanuel

Pastor Lou Aita was called as Pastor of Emmanuel United Church of Christ on January 8th, 2017 and will begin his pastorate on Sunday, January 15, 2017. He is the 24th pastor to serve Emmanuel UCC in its 148 year history.

A graduate of Misericordia University and current graduate student with Capella University, Pastor Lou Aita will bring a great deal of experience to Emmanuel having served a number of churches as well as 3 years of service with the U. S. Army as pianist for the 389th Jazz Band. Church experience includes pastorates with having served as organist and assistant minister at Faith UCC in Hazleton from 1992 -2009, and most recently with the Nuremberg Charge as the head minister for three churches, Emmanuel UCC in Nuremberg, Trinity UCC in Rock Glen, and St. Peter’s Union Church in Beaver Valley, which I share with a Lutheran congregation from 2009-2016.

Pastor Lou Aita will be joined by his wife, Traci, step-daughters Katie and Alli Kadelak, daughter Antonia, and a son Nicholas.

Founded in 1869 Emmanuel UCC is a congregation of 290 members and is affiliated with Penn Northeast Conference on the United Church of Christ.
