This is an opportunity for boys and girls in the third grade through high school who have received First Holy Communion. Training sessions are February 1, 8 and 15 at 6 PM in the Church. Parishioners are invited to become an “I March With the Youth in Spirit” sponsor for the annual March for Life in Washington, D. C. Several parish students will be attending. Parishioners are invited to make a donation to help offset the cost of the trip. Any amount will be appreciated. Please place your donation in an envelope marked March for Life and place it in the collection basket or drop it off at the parish office.

The Diocese of Scranton will observe the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity by hosting an Ecumenical Celebration of God’s Word on Wednesday, January 25 at 12:10 p. m. in the Cathedral of Saint Peter in Scranton. There will not be a 12:10 Mass that day in the cathedral. All are welcome to attend. In addition, CTV: Catholic television will broadcast the service live.
Religious education for K through 6th grade only will not be held January 29 due to Catholic Schools Week prep. January 30 K through 6th grade religious education classes will be held as scheduled.
There is a change in the 7th grade religious education classes. They will not be held January 29 or 30.

On Super Bowl Sunday, we will once again be celebrating our annual “Soup-er Bowl” Sunday. To help others enjoy a zesty meal, we’ll be collecting cans of soup to stock the shelves of the local Mountain Top Food bank at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Parishioners are invited to participate and help warm the hearts (and stomachs) of our neighbors. Bins will be located at the doors of the church the weekend of February 4-5. Please continue to bring nonperishable items to the monthly food collection.
A Retrouvaille weekend will be held at the Ramada Inn in Clarks Summit on February 24-26. This is a weekend program for married couples who may be experiencing tension, stress, and loneliness in the marriage relationship. The program helps couples, even those separated and divorced, to communicate better and resolve conflicts in their relationships. The cost for the program is by donation. Registration is required.
