St. Jude’s Family Skate Night March 23

A St. Jude Family Skate Night at Skate-a-way in Wilkes-Barre will be held Thursday, March 23 from 6 p. m. until 8:30 p. m. Tickets may be purchased by contacting Carrie Grandzol at Pre-sale tickets are $5 plus the cost of skate rental. Tickets at the door are $7 plus the cost of skate rental.

The High School Youth Ministry is sponsoring a Sanitary Bakery Pizza Sale & Valley Seafood Chowder Sale on Friday, March 31. Pizza cost is $10 per box (12 square cuts in each box). Manhattan and New England Clam Chowder is $5 per pint (16 oz. cups), homemade by Valley Seafood; seafood base used, no meat. Pre-Orders are due by March 24th. The Scranton Chapter of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians combined with St. John the Evangelist Parish, Pittston will offer a Lenten Taizé Experience on Tuesday, April 4, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William St., Pittston. The evening begins with dinner at 6:00 PM and a brief overview of Taizé prayer. At 7 PM, Cantores Christi Regis from King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, will lead participants in this form of meditative worship. All are welcome. A free will offering will be collected to offset the cost of dinner and as a donation for Cantores Christi Regis.

St. Jude Lenten Fish Fry will be held Friday, April 7th from 4-8 PM. Sit down and take out options are available. The menu is fish (fried or baked), coleslaw, fries, drink included, $10. On Tuesdays during Lent from 7 p. m. until 8:15 p. m., high school students are invited to pray and reflect and learn from Jesus. Sessions will continue March 28, April 4 and
