Social Ministry Opportunities-Karen Ann Kowalzyck has been in contact with the coordinator for Disaster services serving communities in West Virginia. The damage left in the wake of storms this past year has left communities struggling to get by. They are currently looking for Basic Health kits….what are we looking for? Bath towel and wash cloth, Toothpaste and tooth brush (must be individually wrapped), and Bar of Soap.
Blanket Collection-Volunteers coordinated by HARP are currently in Adel, GA, helping with Jan. 21, 2017 tornado cleanup. More than 20 people died during this storm outbreak and our prayers and support is needed!
Through the warehouse in Caldwell Ohio, HARP is providing flood buckets, health kits, layettes, and quilts in addition to building supplies. They are looking to collect 1,000 blankets to distribute. They can be new or gently used! They suggest those blankets that come rolled up are easier to transport and distribute! We will collect blankets now thru the middle of April. Our first concert is set for Sunday, March 26th at 6:00 p. m. offering the musical talents of the praise band, Step By Step. This concert is open to the public.
