Seder Meal-The Community Outreach Group is hosting a Seder Meal on Thursday, April 6, at 5:30 p. m. in the social hall. There is a sign up sheet in the back of the Church. There is no charge but there needs to be a count for food and seating purposes. Donations will be accepted.

Blessing of the Easter Basket Foods-Father will be blessing baskets on Saturday, April 15, at 10a.m. in the social hall.

The blessed foods and their symbolic meanings are: Butter, Easter Bread, Horseradish, Eggs, Sausage, Ham, Bacon, Salt, Cheese, Candle, Wine, and Vinegar. Sheets outlining and explaining the custom can be found in the back of the Church.

Philadelphia Shrine Tour-Visit the shrines of Saint Rita of Cascia, Saint John Neumann, and Saint Katherine Drexel on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. The Organizing Committee for the Diocesan Catholic Men’s Conference is planning the 3rd annual conference to be held on Saturday, May 6, at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre. The theme is “Be A Man: Mary’s Call to Battle,” inspired by this year’s centenary celebration of Our Blessed Mother’s appearances at Fatima. Diocesan High School Event-XLT (Exalt!) High School, will be held Friday, March 24 from 7-9 p. m. at Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis Street, Scranton, PA. The event, sponsored by the Diocesan Vocation Office, will consist of Eucharistic Adoration, praise & worship music by Countless Wonders, a talk by Shannon Kowalski, youth minister at Saint Catherine of Siena Parish in Moscow, reconciliation, and a social. The Scranton Diocesan Council of Catholic Women will conduct a Lenten Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, April 1, at the Diocese of Scranton Pastoral Center, 330 Wyoming Ave., Scranton, PA. The retreat begins at 9:00 a. m. and ends with Mass at the Cathedral of Saint Peter at 12:10 p. m. The speaker will be Megan Murphy, a dynamic woman of faith who will talk about the inestimable value of confession, prayer, suffering, and sacrifice. Megan is a parishioner of Christ the King Parish in Archbald and resides in Dunmore with her husband and four daughters. All Catholic women are invited to attend. A full breakfast will be served. Easter Rolls-It’s time to order rolls for the holidays. Altar & Rosary Society is continuing to use a Mountain Top area bakery, John with Simply Delicious Desserts. The rolls will be 12 oz. and cost $6 each. Please place your orders in the collection. Final orders are due by April 5. Delivery will be on April 13.
