Aaron Parrish of Hobbie Landscape, LLC will discuss the practices for caring for your own landscaping and explore some of the myths to having a beautiful yard and garden. Topics to be covered will include fertilizers and weed preventive to add to the yard and garden, how much mulch should be applied and how often. Learn about alternatives to mulch in planting beds and when to prune or cut back plants. Suggestions for creating year round color with planting materials will be discussed.
The program will take place
at the Marian Sutherland Kirby Library located at 35 Kirby Ave., Mountaintop on Wednesday, May 3 at 6:00. Registration may be done by visiting the library or by calling 570-474-9313.
Parrish is licensed in the state of PA as a contractor in landscape and contracting with more than 30 years of experience. He has created many landscapes for both residential and commercial customers, and invented seed blends for wildlife management on private properties. He works with customers in primarily residential settings in very creative ways by installing and building landscapes that incorporate some aspect of the homeowner’s memories, and possessions through water features created from antiques to custom engraved stonework in patios.
