The Crestwood girls’ lacrosse team defeated visiting Hazleton Area, 13-5 on May 8.
Lady Comet Natasha Koslop led the winners with four goals while teammate Kaitlyn Roberts scored three.
Also scoring a goals for Crestwood were Katie Coslett, Lilly Greene, Emily Roberts, Cassidy Brumagin, Jaclyn Cavanaugh, and Madison Krawontka. Recording assists were Emily Roberts with two, and Natasha Koslop, Lexi Gaetano, Kaitlyn Roberts, and Madison Krawontka with one apiece.
Julia Filchak had eight saves for Crestwood.
Crestwood hung onto the lead to defeat Dallas, 9-7, in boys’ lacrosse on May 7.
In a WVC Division 1 conference softball game, Crestwood fell to Wyoming Valley, 5-4.
Dow and Murphy each went 2 for 4 for the Lady Comets. Runs were batted in by Murphy, Haley Naperkowski, Heller, Emily Traficante and Thomas.
Crestwood dominated Western Wayne capturing a 12-2 victory on May 10.
Sarah Macko led the Lady Comets, going 3 for 3 with three RBI.
Teammate Sydney Sobolewski went 2 for 2 with two RBI, and Haley Naperkowski hit a home run. Kayla Kulp chipped in with a double.
Freshman Abby Waite was the winning pitcher.
Crestwood lost to Pittston Area, 7-4, in a game played May 11.
For the Lady Coemts Katie Thomas had a double and a single and Sydney Sobolewski singled in the loss.

Wyoming Valley West. Brian Macko went 4 for 2 for
Crestwood. James Graves, Justin Darden, Brett Caladie and Wyatt Kindler also had hits for the Comets.
On May 10, Crestwood only managed one run in a 4-1 loss to Coughlin.
Curtis Tokach drove in the Comets’ only score.
Crestwood lost to Hazleton Area, 4-2, on May 11.
Macko went 1 for 2 and scored a run while and Graves and Caladie also had hits for the Comets.

in the first round of the District 2 Class 2 A Boys Tennis team Championships on May 8.
In singles, Nick Andrews and Sachin Patel each won for the Comets.
In doubles, the team of Zach Andrews/Nick Madjic won in straight sets.
In the semifinals on May 9, Crestwood fell to Williamsport, 3-0.

Lehman, 3-0, in volleyball on May 9. Scores were 25-12, 25-23, and 25-19.
Noah Jackson led the Comets with 10 service points, nine kills and two blocks while Mike Williams recorded 18 assists, seven aces and eight service points.
Noah Modrovsky finished with 10 service points and five kills.
