The University of Scranton conferred more than 600 master’s and doctoral degrees, including its first Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees, at its graduate commencement ceremony on May 27 in the Byron Recreation Complex. The University also conferred more than 800 bachelor’s and associate’s degrees at its undergraduate commencement on May 28 at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre.
Graduates recognized at the ceremonies include those who completed their degree requirements in August and December of 2016, as well as January and May of 2017.
Mountaintop degree recipients are: Master’s Degree-Courtney L. Williams; Bachelor’s Degree-Nicole A. Hvozdovic, Hong Jun Li,; and Beau A. Samonte.
Graduates represented more than 30 states, Washington, D. C., and several foreign countries. The master’s degree programs with the most graduates were the master of business administration, occupational therapy, educational administration, curriculum and instruction and human resources.
