Altar Server ClassesAt St. Mary’s

St. Mary’s of Dorrance is a welcoming church. The pastor of St. Mary’s is Rev. Joseph Evanko, and Rev. Jeffrey Tudgay, Assistant Pastor. The weekend Mass schedule is Saturday at 5:30 p. m. and Sunday at 9 a. m.

The Altar & Rosary Society will not meet in June.

The ladies are collecting items for a Kitchen Basket. Donations can be dropped off at the office or placed on the table in the meeting room across form the garage.

Altar Server Classes-All students who have received their First Holy Communion are invited to assist Father Joe and Father Jeff by serving at the Table of the Lord. The next class will be Thursday, June 15, at 6:30, in the church. Families choose the Saturday or Sunday schedule. Please sign fill out the schedule information before you leave class.

Quo Vadis Days 2017 will be held June 25-28, at Misericordia University, Dallas. This camp is for young Catholic men in High School (Grades 9-12 ) to deepen their faith, learn more about all vocations, and better discern God’s call in their lives. The camp will feature dynamic talks, prayer, games, sports, activities, music and more. Participants will have the opportunity to meet priests and seminarians of the Diocese of Scranton. All participants are required to get a letter of recommendation from a priest, deacon, parish life coordinator, or youth minister to register. Online registration is now open at

Light the Fire June 28, 2017-Reminder: Light the Fire is considered the Eighth Grade Retreat! Cost $30 -$25 per student, $5 per youth group for Saint Mary’s students & chaperones. Papers are in the vestibule of the church, can picked up that the YG meeting, or they are available from the office. Adults welcome, all day or for the closing Mass at 7 p. m.

All parishioners are invited to a Farewell Open House for Father Jeff. Come and wish him well at Saint Mary’s on Saturday, July 1, immediately following The Vigil Mass (about 6:30 p. m.), in the social hall or at Saint Jude on Sunday, July 2, after Noon Mass (about 1 p. m.), in the grove. Light refreshments will be served at both gatherings.

This is the last weekend (July1/2) Father Jeff will be celebrating Mass before he leaves for Graduate Studies in Canon Law at the Catholic University of America, Washington, DC.
