Grove Clean Up: Help us get ready for the Annual Picnic!! Sunday, August 6th beginning at 1

p. m.. People are needed to help with light clean up in order to get ready for the Picnic. Bring your work gloves, rakes, leaf blowers, brooms, rags and any cleaning supplies. This is a great project for families, Scout Troops, or anyone else willing to pitch in.

Wine & Spirits Booth-You can win various types of wine and levels of Spirits. To maximize our fundraising potential for this booth, your help is needed! Please donate bottles of wine and/or bottles of fine spirits.

Theme basket donations are also needed for the Picnic. If you would like to donate a basket but need an idea let us know and we can help. All you need to do is to provide the items for the basket and we will take care of the rest. The baskets and wrapping materials will be provided.

Basket Donations for St. Jude Picnic can be dropped off at the Parish Center during office hours or contact Mimi Murphy at 570-956-6057 or Rose Termini at 570-510-0427. Thank you in advance for your help!

Parishioners are needed to participate by volunteering their time and offering donations of theme baskets and baked goods.

Calling All Ushers! -It is very important as we prepare for the new Church to organize Ushers and Ministers of Hospitality. If you are already an usher, please sign the contact sheet on the table at the entrance to the gym or contact Fr. Joe by email at jevanko@stjc.orgor 570-474-6315, ext. 227 with your name, phone number and email.

School is right around the corner! With the rising cost of food, clothing and gasoline, many families in the Mountain Top area might find it a struggle to be able to provide the necessary school supplies for their children.

St. Jude Parish would like to help our Elementary through High School students!

The Social Action Committee will sponsor a School Supply Drive on July 22/23 and July 29/30. Suggested Items: Backpacks, crayons, pencils, loose leaf paper, spiral notebooks, scissors, glue, glue sticks, markers, erasers, tissues, high lighters, index cards, rulers. Place your donations in the buckets marked . School Supply Donations located in church during those weekends.

Week of Service, Week of Hope-For students in grades 8th thru 12th will be July 24-28, 2017. Each day we go out into the community and serve those in need. Places like St. Vincent De-Paul Soup Kitchen, CEO food packing, SPCA, Children’s Service Center, YMCA, CYC, and Ruth’s Place to name a few. This year we will take a look at

some interesting saints whose lives will encourage us and strengthen us to continue Jesus’ mission to love and serve. The group meets each day between 8 and 8:15 a. m. and start with games, music and prayer. We finish up between 4 and 4:15p.m. Cost is $20 and includes a t-shirt, bus transportation to all sites, snacks and end of week pizza party.

On Friday, July 28, service participants serve half a day, are treated to a pizza party and then they are welcome to go to Camelbeach for the day. Details about Camelbeach will be in the bulletin next week. Registration forms can be found on our website at www.stjc.org,click on week of service logo.
