Farmers Market

A Farmers Market sponsored by the Mountain Top Rotary is held every Sunday from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. at the Crestwood High School, Route 309, until October 29, 2017. The market features fresh local vegetables, fruits, herbs, honey, eggs, hot sauces, baked goods, confection treats, a Caribbean food truck and gourmet dog treats for your fur babies.

Nuangola Grove Farmers Market

The Nuangola Grove Farmer’s Market is open Saturdays until September 16 from 9:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. Fresh produce, food and hand made items are featured. The market is at 5177 Nuangola Road at the site of the Historic Grove Theater.

Summer Book Sale

Come to the Marian Sutherland Kirby Library through August 1, purchase a bag at the Circulation Desk and fill it up for $3.00 tax included. Individual items may be purchased at regular price plus tax. It’s the perfect time to pick up some great books for your summer leisure reading! Mt. Top Little League Fall Ball Sign Ups 2017

Mountaintop Area Little League is once again offering its very popular Fall Ball (Baseball & Softball) program, for boys and girls, ages 8 through 11. Age based on 2017 regular season. Season runs late August thru mid October. Registration fee is: $45. Wednesday, July 19th: 6:30 until 8 p. m.; Monday, July 31st, 6:30 until 8 p. m.; Saturday, August 5th, 10 until 11:30 a. m.; and Monday, August 7th, 6 until 7:30 p. m. Theatre at the Grove

Theatre at the Grove continues performances of Hunchback of Notre Dame at the historic venue in Nuangola. Theatre at the Grove is located at 5177 Nuangola Rd. In Nuangola. The Hunchback of Notre Dame continues performance July 28, 29 at 8pm and and 30 at 3pm. Tickets can be reserved by calling the box office at 570-868-8212. Next up at the grove is The regional Premier of Bridges of Madison County: The Musical opening August 25th.

Mountain Top Social Club

The next scheduled meeting of the Mountain Top Social Club is July 25th at 1 p. m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Route 309 in Mountain Top. Sweet Lush Cupcake Camper

The Sweet Lush Cupcake Camper will be parked in the Crestwood High School parking lot on Friday, July 28 from 4 until 8 p. m. A portion of sales will be donated back to Wright Township Dog Park. Amish Chicken BBQ

An Amish Chicken BBQ will be held at Stairville UMC on July 29, 2017 from 1 to 5 p. m. Menus includes ½ chicken, open salad bar, baked beans, corn on the cob, dessert and beverage. Music will be by the Mud Pond Boys. Also featured will be Jean’s famous waffle, ice cream and peaches. The church is located 2 ¾ miles from I-80 Nuangola. For more informaiton call 868-5393.

Tick Awareness Program

Dare 2B Aware, a PA Lyme Prevention program will be held at the Kirby Library on Wednesday, August 2 at 6:30 pm. The presenter will be Nicole Chinnici MS, Microbiologist Forensic Scientist ESU, Northeast Wildlife DNA Lab. This educational program will discuss tick diseases in PA, personal prevention strategies, avoiding tick habitat, how to remove a tick and more.
