The Nuangola Grove Farmer’s Market is open Saturdays until September 16 from 9:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. Fresh produce, food and hand made items are featured. The market is at 5177 Nuangola Road at the site of the Historic Grove Theater.
Betsy Scanlan, a local Girl Scout in the Mountain Top area, is currently working on a Gold Award project that gives kids in Geisinger Children’s Hospital home-made coloring books. The pages are ready and I am planning on printing them soon. I need the materials to color it with. Donations of crayons or colored pencils would be greatly appreciated. There will be boxes at Kirby Library, St. Paul’s, and Design Works.
Registration for Mt. Top American Legion Fall Baseball will take place at the legion grove Wednesday August 9 and Tuesday August 15 from 6:00 pm until 7:30pm. The cost will be $75.00 per player. There are teams for players who just completed their last year of little league through players who will be seniors in high school. Emmanuel UCC Yard Sale is scheduled August 12th from 8am-1 pm. The yard sale will be held to benefit church missions, tables will be $10/table and to sign up. Interested participants can call the church office at 570-868-5675 to register. Those with items are responsible for bringing and removing their items for sale.
Crestwood HS Class of 1977 will hold their 40th Class Reunion on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the American Legion, Mountaintop from 2 pm until 9 pm. Final reservations have been made with the caterer. Any classmates that would like to attend without the meal can pay $15 per person at the door that will help pay for other expenses associated with the Reunion. Event is BYOB. Hope to see you there!

The annual Summer Park Program at Fairview Memorial Park run from Monday through Friday, August 18, 2016 from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. Signups can be done at any time during the summer camp program.
