St. Jude Parish Finalizes Plans For 63rd Annual Picnic In The Grove
ST. MARY’S WELCOMES NEW PRIEST-The Alter & Rosary Society of St Mary’s Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Dorrance, recently held their annual summer luncheon. This also served as an opportunity to give their newest priest, Father Kevin Mulhern, a warm welcome.

Organizers from St. Jude Parish gathered recently to finalize plans for the 63rd annual St. Jude Parish Picnic on August 12 and 13 (4-11P.M.) and August 14 (Noon to 9 p. m.) on the parish grounds at 420 South Mountain Boulevard, in Mountain Top.

The picnic features great food -Haluski, Potato Pancakes, Pulled Pork, Italian favorites at the Italian Corner, desserts galore in the Sweet House and an open pit BBQ Chicken Dinner on Sunday, starting at Noon. Sister Esther will entertain Saturday, from 7-11 p. m.

There will also be games and activities for children of all ages, regular and instant bingo and a large basket raffle.

The Backyard BBQ Bonanza raffle is back –take a chance to win a top of the line grill and all the fixings for your next BBQ.

The picnic Grand Prize raffle this year is $10,000. Raffle tickets are now available at the Parish Office.

With construction of the new church underway, parking on site around the church is limited. All those attending the picnic need to park at Crestwood High School. Continuous shuttle bus service to and from “the Grove” will be provided. The St. Jude parking lot will be reserved for the shuttle bus routes and passenger drop off. There will also be clearly marked designated parking on site for those with AUTHORIZED HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS behind the church.
