St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Summer Church Services are scheduled at 9 am.
During the summer, St. Paul’s will have one service at 9 a. m. Pastor Kaufman will also be conducting services at St. John’s, St. John’s every Sunday at 10:30 a. m. If 9 a. m. is a little early, you are welcome to worship at St. John’s at the later time. Just place your envelope in the plate and it will go to the respective church. The same invitation will be extended to the members of St. John’s.
Summer Office Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 8:30 to 12:30 pm
Bible Study continues every Thursday afternoon at 1 p. m. as we return to explore the Book of Romans. Our conversations are lively and engaging. Consider joining us some Thursday!

Youth Activities-Summer is a great time to check things out; go places; do things. It’s even better when we do it together.
Here is a list of activities planned to date. Activities are scattered to accommodate various schedules. August 25th-Railriders game. A date is still being worked on for a Phillies game. Is there enough interest in Camelbeach for group rates. Pastor will post any additional Activities are scattered to accommodate various schedules. Any and all ages invited.
Chicken BBQ-St. Paul’s is sponsoring a Chicken BBQ Saturday September 9th from 12 -5 p. m. Help is needed inside in the kitchen and outside at the grill. Any time you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Donations of industrial size of corn and green beans, BBQ sauce, and lots of cakes are needed. There will be a sign up sheet in the Narthex.
Menu consists of 1/2 chicken,
baked potato, corn or green beans, cole slaw and dinner roll. Eat-in or Take out. The cost for adults is $9.50, children ages 3-10 is $5, and children under 3 are free. Get your tickets on Sunday mornings or call the Church office between 8-12 Monday thru Friday 570-474-6616.

Board Game Day-Looking to have some fun? Every third Wednesday, at 1:00 pm. at the church will be board game day. Please bring your favorite game and a snack to share. Come on out and have some fun.
Yarn Spinners will continue to work on the prayer shawls and baptismal blankets for Pastor. If any of you are talented in crocheting or knitting, or would like to learn, they cordially invite you to join them. Lessons will be instructed by Lois. If you can’t make their meetings, please call Lois Burge at 474-5502, and volunteer your talents by making the items at your own pace at home. All would be most appreciative.
Food Bank-Please remember that the first Sunday of each month has been declared “Food Bank Day” and we ask that members remember those less fortunate by bringing nonperishable food items in order to keep up with the demand for food. Items needed are: coffee, peanut butter, jelly, ketchup, dry soup, pudding and Jell-O mixes, and popcorn, pork & beans, canned tomatoes, canned soup, mustard, mayo, tuna, macaroni & cheese and pasta (ex. Spaghetti), peas, canned pasta, and noodles.
Regularly scheduled weekly meetings-Stress and Anxiety Management meetings are every 2nd and last Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm; NA meetings are every Thursday at 6 pm; AA meetings are held every Wednesday and Friday at 7pm and Sundays at 7pm, and Weight Watchers every Wednesday at 6:15pm.
Sick or in the hospital? Would you like a visit from pastor? If you are in the hospital, please let us know. We care about you, and we would like to pray for you. If you would like Pastor to make a visit for any particular reason, please contact Pastor directly or leave a message with the church secretary and Pastor will contact you to schedule a time.
