Calling all kids of all ages!! Sunday School is kicking off on September 10 with our annual Rally Day! This is a great day for all of us of any age (less than 1 to greater than 99?) to celebrate our faith. Since 1849, the church at Emmanuel has provided countless children, youth and adults a great Christian education. Some of us here can trace our spiritual ancestors back for generations, while others are new to this congregation. Whether an old-timer or a newbie, we all have one thing in common –a passion to pass on our faith.
Rally Day is a chance for us to renew our commitment to spread the Gospel to all the world –starting with our children, in this case. This day gives us an opportunity to promote Christian values and Christlike service toward God and others.
Sunday School students will meet at 9:30 am to practice our songs and skit and then continue to celebrate during our worship service at 10:30 am with the theme “Growing In God’s Love”.
After worship, we will have a
covered dish lunch with hot dogs and chicken fingers provided with our members sharing side dishes and desserts they bring. Then, it’s time to play. We can toss bean bags, play kickball and ladder ball, yell “bingo” (if you win) and play lots of other games. If you are really energetic, you can even bounce in the Moon Walk. So, whatever your age, come out and celebrate the past and future of our faith!
Teen Talk is for anyone in 7th grade and above. We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am to talk about God and Jesus, how our lives are influenced by them and how we can be an influence to others around us. There are so many things that try to manipulate us away from God. Come to Teen Talk and find other teens who want to make their faith stronger and be better at dealing with ideas and things that pull us away from being Christians.
Sunday worship service is at 10:30 am and is led by Pastor Lou Aita. We welcome visitors and friends to join us for worship every Sunday.
