Cub Scout Registration

Mt. Top. Area will be holding Cub Scout registration at all three of the Elementary Schools Fairview, Rice and St. Jude’s on Thursday September 14th, from 6:30 p. m. to 8 p. m. You can go to any of the schools and join Scouting!! Pack 106 will be at Fairview Elementary School on Sept. 14th but you can also register any time by contacting Sheila Bender at 570-436-6276.

Fairview PTA Meeting

The Fairview Elementary PTA would like to welcome back students and parents to another great upcoming year. The PTA will be holding its monthly meeting on Thursday, September 14th at 6 pm in the school’s library. All parents/grandparents/guardians of Fairview Elementary students are encouraged to attend the meeting to learn about upcoming events. Babysitting will be provided.

Ladies Night Out

Mountaintop Family Church, 209 South Mountain Blvd., Mountaintop, will host a LADIES NIGHT OUT on September 15 at 7:00 pm. This event is open to the public. Mountaintop author, Jo Piazza O’Mara, will be the guest speaker. She will speak about her newly released novel, Songs in the Night, which is a sequel to Garden of Hope. Psychic Medium, Tarot Card Readings

The Kirby Library is currently booking appointments for a special two day event, Readings to Remember with psychic medium Jim Byers and Tarot card reader Jonathan Coyle. Byers and Coyle will be available for thirty minutes readings for $30 each on Friday and Saturday, September 15 and 16 from 9:30 to 3:30. Each person who books a session with either reader will receive a complimentary energy stone to aid them in their journey with regards to their needs and concerns. Partial proceeds from this event will benefit the library. Appointments can be made by visiting the library at 35 Kirby Ave., Mountaintop, or by calling 570-474-9313.

Mt. Top Hose Co. #1 Open House

The Mountaintop Hose Company No. 1 will be participating in the National Volunteer Fire Company open house weekend on Saturday, September 17 from 12 to 5 p. m. Come and meet some of the firefighters that serve Fairview Township and the apparatus and equipment they use to do so. Also, applications will be available for anyone interested in becoming a member or firefighter. For further information contact Jason Menghini at 570-500-5003.

Mountain Top Social Club

The Mountain Top Social Club will meet Sept. 26th at 1 p. m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Route 309 in Mountain Top. For general club information, please contact Janeann Lokken at 570-868-6895. For information on bus trips please contact Otto Eime at 570-407-0056. Future trips are as follows: September 21st, Hunterdon Hills Playhouse, N. J. Dinner and Show (Come Blow Your Horn) at $84 PP. Payment is due now. September 28-Hollywood Casino, cost is $30 to play and $5 buffet. On October 19th, Dutch Apple, Dinner and Show (Buddy) Cost is $81 PP. due by September 1st. Bus leaves Mt. Top at 8:15 a. m. and St. Al’s at 8:45 a. m. for trips.

Hope For Herbst Family Motorcycle Benefit

On Sept. 23, American Legion Post 781 in Mountain Top will host the Hope for the Herbst Family Motorcycle Benefit. Bikers can register between 9 and 11:30 a. m. for a 60-mile ride that starts at noon. There will also be basket raffles, food, drinks, live music and face painting. Cost for the bike ride is $15 for bikers, $5 for passengers and free for ages 10 and under. Information can be found at facebook.com(type “Hope for the Herbst Family” into the search bar).

Hymn, Contemporary Concert

Paul and Mary Good DUO from Quakertown will bring the sounds of old hymns and contemporary music to all ages on Sunday September 24th from 6 to 8 p. m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mountaintop. Free admission.

Basketball Booster Club

The Crestwood Basketball Booster Club will hold its next meeting on September 25, 2017 at 7pm at Cavanaugh’s. Basketball parents are welcome to attend. The club will be discussing the upcoming events.
