Legion Auxiliary Post 781

The American Legion Post 781 will have their monthly meeting on October 3. New members always welcome. Executive meeting will begin at 7 p. m. Regular meeting starts at 7:30 p. m.

Feng Shui Workshop

Feng Shui is known as the ancient Chinese art of placement, the practice of choosing and arranging work and living spaces to promote balance and comfort. Feng Shui seeks to promote prosperity, good health, and general well-being by examining how energy flows through a particular room, house, building, or garden. Sybilla Lenz, author and consultant from Positive Living by Design will conduct the workshop, Learning and Applying Feng Shui for Better Health, Wealth and Loving Relationships. The workshop will take place at the Marian Sutherland Kirby Library located at 35 Kirby Ave., Mountaintop on Wednesday, October 4 at 6:30 pm. Registration for this program may be done by visiting the library or by calling 570-474-9313.

Herbst Family Fun Day Benefit

Crestwood Key Club along with Christ United Methodist Church is holding a family fun day to benefit the Herbst family on Saturday, October 7 beginning at 2pm at the church. The bands Guilty Pleasure and Radio Rehab will be performing. Face painting, bounce house, games, Super heroes, balloon animals, and entertainment stations including a visit from a few reptiles from CDE Exotics to view and learn about. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Snacks will be for sale. ALL proceeds go directly to the family.

GFWC Monthly Meeting

GFWC Mountain Top will hold their regular monthly meeting on October 9th from 6:30-8:30pm at the Lehigh Valley Health Center at Mountain Top (located in the Weis Shopping Center). Any Area women ages 18 and older are always welcome to attend and learn more about the club. Farmers Market

A Farmers Market sponsored by the Mountain Top Rotary is held every Sunday from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. at the Crestwood High School, Route 309, until October 29, 2017. The market features fresh local vegetables, fruits, herbs, honey, eggs, hot sauces, baked goods, confection treats, a Caribbean food truck and gourmet dog treats for your fur babies. Locally grown, locally made, Locally grown, locally made and locally crafted.
