The Wapwallopen Ministerium maintains a Food Pantry at Emmanuel UCC. In addition to Emmanuel UCC, the Ministerium includes New Hope United Methodist Charge (Stairville, Faith and Slocum UMC), St. Peter’s UCC, St. John’s UCC, St. James Lutheran Church, Mt. Zion UCC, St. Mark’s Union Church and St. Mary’s Our Lady Help of Christian R. C. Church. Together, we gather canned and dry goods and paper products to help people in our communities. We are ready, willing and able to assist our brothers and sisters for whatever reason.
This Food Pantry can help get people through difficult times, such as loss of employment, inability to work for an extended period of time due to sickness or an accident, loss of a family income due to death or divorce and the reasons go on and on. All we need now is for people to come forward and receive what we can give them. It only takes a phone call to any of the churches in the Ministerium. Perhaps you know someone who could use a helping hand. Let them know about this ministry. All contacts are kept strictly confidential. If we can help you or someone you know, please call 868-5675 for an appointment and we will provide nourishment for you and your family. We are here to serve all people of our communities.
