Great Job Crestwood Field Hockey

The Crestwood field hockey team is in the midst of another winning season. The perennial WVC powerhouse is sporting a 9-3 record as of October 13.

Crestwood defeated Abington Heights 9-0 on October 13.

In the first half, Chloe Gren started the scoring on an unassisted goal at 20:80. Emma Janosczyk scored the next two goals, assisted by Mackenzie Kile. Green scored the fourth goal of the half off an assist by Morghan Murphy.

Janosczyk scored her final goal of the game and recorded an assist in the second half. Murphy scored two twice and Sarah Richards added a goal in the winner.

Crestwood had 18 shots on goal while Abington tallied two.

Eryn Venesky had two saves for the Lady Comets.

On October 11, Crestwood defeated Wallenpaupack, 8-0.

Murphy led the Lady Comets in scoring with four goals.

In the first half, Murphy scored at 20:02 off an assist from Janosczyk; Richards scored from Mackenzie Kile; and Murphy added her second goal at 5:18 from Kile.

The Lady Comets scoring onslaught continued in the second half when Arden Morgans scored unassisted. Murphy tallied her third goal unassisted, Kile scored unassisted, Murphy scored at 9:58; and Abby Davis scored unassisted with 1:30 remaining in the gam.

Crestwood took 21 shots on goal compared with 1 for Wallenpaupack. Eryn Venesky tuned away Wallenpaupack’s only shot to preserve the shut out.
