Crestwood Basketball Boosters

The Crestwood Basketball Booster Club will hold its next meeting on October 24, 2017 at 7pm at Cavanaughs. Any parent of a Crestwood Basketball player is encouraged to attend as we will be discussing upcoming events.

Rice Elementary Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair is here! Our Fall Book Fair will be held in the Rice Elementary library on Wednesday, October 25th–Friday, October 27th. Students can purchase books during their specials time during the school day. You can either pick out a few titles from the flyer that comes home, or you can send in money for your child to shop at school (please include 6% sales tax). You and your friends can visit our Family Night Thursday, October 26th from 6 until 8 p. m. in the library. Be sure to head over to the large group room for Rice Elementary’s Haunted Gallery. Family Night is a non-chaperoned event. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Cash, credit cards, and checks (made payable to Rice PTA) accepted.

Opiod Crisis Community Forum

The Mountain Top Rotary organization will be holding a Community Forum on Thursday October 26th at 7pm at the Crestwood Secondary Campus in Mountain Top. This Free event will be open to the Public and adults of all ages are encouraged to attend to hear two presentations regarding the current opiod crisis. Wright Twp. Halloween Parade

The Wright Township Halloween Parade will take place on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 3:00pm in the playground of the Wright Township Park. All children age 10 and under accompanied by a parent or guardian are welcome to attend this family fun event. Prizes will be awarded for the following categories: Scariest, Funniest, Grossest and Most Creative. Games and treats will also be provided for all by the Wright Township Recreation Board.

Trunk or Treat

Join us Saturday October 28th at 5pm for the 7th annual Trunk or Treat on Division Street. Parking will be at Christ United Methodist Church, 175 S. Main Rd. The Crestwood Key Club will be hosting cars and games at the event. Your munchkins will enjoy crafts, face painting, and goodies as they explore decorated cars from our Mountain Top Community. If you would like to register a car please call the church at (570) 474-6060. Cars that want to participate need to arrive at the church by 4pm to set up. Please bring treats to pass out to the children who attend.

Unused/Expired MedicationTake Back Program

The Wright Twp. Police Dept., 321 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountaintop, will accept any over the counter, controlled substance or prescription drugs on October 28 from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. Tablets, capsules, ointments, creams and liquids will be accepted in its packaging. No need to take medications out of original package or container. This event is absolutely anonymous and no questions are to be asked by law enforcement personnel to anyone submitting medications. Sharpies and syringes will not be accepted due to safety concerns.

Farmers Market

A Farmers Market sponsored by the Mountain Top Rotary is held every Sunday from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. at the Crestwood High School, Route 309, until October 29, 2017. The market features fresh local vegetables, fruits, herbs, honey, eggs, hot sauces, baked goods, confection treats, a Caribbean food truck and gourmet dog treats for your fur babies. Locally grown, locally made, Locally grown, locally made and locally crafted.

CHS Senior Lock-In Meeting

Crestwood High School Senior Lock-In only meeting will be held on November 1, 2017 at 6:30pm at the Ice House. Parents of juniors and seniors are invited to attend!
