William Thomas Roushey Sr., 83, of Nuangola, died Oct. 19, 2017, at his home.
Born in Mountain Top on Sept. 7, 1934, he was a son of the late Kenneth W. and Helen Yeager Roushey.
William was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served during the Korean conflict and being awarded several medals. He was a member of the American Legion Holding Post 945 of Wormleysburg.
Bill was an avid hunter and loved caring for his chickens and his garden.
Bill was preceded, in death in addition to his parents, by his daughter, Beverly Swerdon; son-in-law,
John Swerdon; daughter-in-law, Laura Roushey; brothers, Kenneth, George, Donald and Walter Roushey.
Surviving are Bill’s wife of 62 year, the former Lorraine Michael; sons, William Jr., Mountain Top;
Robert and wife, Loretta, Hanover Twp.; and Tim and wife, Maryann, Hanover Twp.; brother, Milroy Roushey and wife, Kathy, Nuangola; sister, Freda Seferyn and husband, Sal, Ocala, Fla.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were by McCune Funeral Home, Mountain Top.
