The weekend Mass schedule at St. Mary’s is Saturday at 5:30 p. m. and Sunday at 9 a. m.
St. Mary’s Food Collection: St. Mary’s is continuing to collect non-perishable food items for our local families in need. Can goods (veggies, soup, fruit), peanut butter & jelly, Mac and cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, crackers, granola, cereal, etc.
Help Needed: Students and parents are needed to help pack Thanksgiving baskets next Sunday, November 19, immediately following religious education classes until about noon. We will be packing at Saint James in Hobbie this year. Please call the parish office if you are available.
Calendars: New calendars are in the back of the Church. Thank you to Sam Desiderio, Desiderio Funeral Home, for providing these to our parishioners.
Thanksgiving Raffle Tickets have been mailed to homes. If you have not received yours please call the parish office. Drawing is Thanksgiving Day.
Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets: St. Mary’s, with Saint James Church, Hobbie, will be assembling Thanksgiving Dinner baskets for local families in need. Baskets will be put together next Sunday, November 19 at Saint James, Hobbie. Last minute items can be donated by calling the parish office, including turkeys and grocery gift cards.
Youth Group will meet, November 19, from 6-8 p. m., in the dining room. Parents welcome at all meetings. Questions: Molly 262-4628 or 868-5855
Parish Advent Wreath-The parish is continuing with the tradition of a Home Made Wreath of donated greens. Please bring your cuttings (not large branches) to the Church by Friday, December 1. Greens may be placed on the side porch.
Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to ensure the success of our Roast Beef Supper! We received many compliments on the food and our student staff. Special thanks to the Chiverella Family, Carl Zajac, Harry Roinick (Pumpkin Hill), and the Lukashewski Family for their very generous donations.
Wafer Supper: Saint Theresa’s Guild invites all parishioners to their annual covered dish Wafer Supper on Sunday, December 10, at 6 p. m., in the social hall. RSVP is required to provide an accurate count for table settings and favors. There is a sign up sheet in front of the Angel Room in the back of church. Reservation deadline is December 3.
Altar & Rosary Society
Christmas Party: The annual Christmas Party will be enjoyed at Sand Springs, Drums, on Sunday, November 19, at 1 p. m. Please contact Pat Osisek at 570-379-3107 to make your reservation or for more information.
Christmas Rolls: Altar & Rosary Society is again taking orders for Christmas Rolls. There are six varieties available. Cost is $6. Please place your pre-paid orders in the collection by December 10. Rolls will be available for pick up December 22, after noon in the rectory meeting room. Questions: Susan 570-868-6983.
