SAINT NICHOLAS VISITS SAINT JUDE SCHOOL-On the Feast of Saint Nicholas, December 6th, the Saint Jude School community received a very important visit from the Bishop himself. In what has become an annual school tradition since Sister Ellen Fischer became principal, Saint Nicholas visits with the children and gives them each a small snack and gift. The children learn all about this generous saint and the origins of Santa Clause and of how he came to children and left a small something in their shoe on his feast day. The Eighth Grade students helped Saint Nicholas pass out goodies to all of the younger students during his visit. A very special thank you to Carone’s Supermarket for their generous donation of treats on the feast of Saint Nicholas.
