Presbyterian Sunday School Play Dec. 17 During Worship

Rev. James Shanley, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Mountain Top, invites all to join in worship Sunday, December 17th to celebrate the third Sunday in Advent with the lighting of the third advent candle. Sunday School begins at 9:30 with the adult class meeting in the Sanctuary and all ages of children meeting in Fellowship Hall for Praise time and class assignments. The Worship Service begins at 11:00a.m. The Sunday School will present a Christmas play for the message.

Pastor Shanley will teach an advent Bible Study on Wed. Dec 13th and 20th. All are invited to learn the Reason for the Season!

The Sunday School will have a play practice on Thursday, Dec. 14th and Saturday, Dec. 16. The time will be announced.

Many thanks to Bill Blannett and the combined choirs for their gift of music and Celebration of the Christ Child through the Christmas Cantata. All were truly blessed by the performance.

On Christmas Eve, December 24th at 7:00pm, the church will join for the traditional Christmas Candle Light service. Join the Faithful and enjoy the real REASON for the SEASON. Come early as the church fills up quickly. The Church office will be closed on Dec. 25 and 26th.

Please donate your food items weekly to be given to the Mountain Top food bank. Bins are located at the rear of the Sanctuary. The need is great for packaged items, mayo, coffee, sugar, peanut butter, rice, carrots and red beets are needed.

2018 dates to purchase bulletin covers to honor or recognize someone are now available. A month’s supply of bulletin covers is $35. If there is a certain month you would like to purchase check with the office for availability. Flowers are also available to purchase for $35 for the vases or a special arrangement for the pedestal. Contact Allison Pekar to schedule flowers or call the church office.

Continue to pray for the president and country! Also pray for our military families and those serving in all branches of the armed forces. If you want a name of your friend or family member added to our prayer list, contact the church offices. Service members are prayed for by name every Sunday! Also we lift up the hurricane victims hit with devastating destruction over the last few weeks. Information to donate through the Presbyterian Disaster Relief fund is available in the Narthex.
